Henrietta Red

PROJECT:

Commercial restroom wallpaper installation + brand & identity design

LOCATION:

Nashville, TN

MATERIALS:

Hand painted wallpaper, risographed paper, decorative painting, collage

DESCRIPTION:

At Henrietta Red, Julia Sullivan and Allie Poindexter’s Germantown restaurant, we installed a wallpaper collage in the women’s restroom. Painted paper sheets were risoprinted with vintage images of Japanese pearl divers, or Ama, which reference the restaurant’s fresh oyster and seafood offerings as well as its strong female leadership. We collaged the Ama risoprints over painted wallpaper grounds and added decorative flourishes in metallic gold.

The branding work for the restaurant included logo development, menu program design, additional printed brand materials and a signature pattern design utilized throughout the restaurant.
